The Register

As you may know the school admission register was found by Simon Pott amongst Roger’s papers and was produced at the 1998 Reunion. 

This book starts in 1946 and lists all the pupils who went to the school until it closed in 1969.

The Register is numbered from 1 to 990 but  there are several jumps in the numbering and  I have details to a greater or lesser extent for 861 pupils. 

I offered to copy the information from the register to a computer database which means there is now a permanent record. 

Although the original information in the register was copied in part from another source there are a number of details which are either missing or not accurate and it would be of great assistance if members attending the  reunions would check and amend the details so that the information on the database could be made as accurate as possible. The details missing in particular relate to Date of Birth, Date of Leaving and Addresses.

Now the information is in a database it may be possible to locate lost pupils by means of a data sort into original area addresses, as those in the U K may well still have connections with their parents locality. Those pupils from abroad will be very difficult if not impossible to trace particularly from the Middle East where there was quite a large group over the years.

Any details that  other members have which may help to complete the records will be of great help.
