Annual Reunion
Weekend
at Heacham Manor Hotel
on 29th/30th October 2022
It was great to see
everyone who came along over the weekend - including a few faces who hadn't
been to a reunion for a while!
We started to arrive at the hotel soon after midday on Saturday and met up in
the Pavilion Bar
for chat, drink & a bite to eat.
We held our AGM in the main hotel at 3.30pm attended by a reasonable number of
Old Michaelians
(OM's). and various matters were discussed, including "the future of the association
& Reunions".
Suffice to say, it was decided that for as long as OM's wish to keep in touch
and meet up for annual
reunions the Association will continue. and further, since we will be
celebrating the 70th
anniversary of the formation of the Old Michaelian Association in 2023,
we wish to encourage
more of our fellow OM's to come along next year and, hopefully, continue to come
in the future years.
Later, we had our Annual Dinner attended by some 36 OM's & partners. It appeared
to go well with
brief speeches from our president, Simon Pott and other OM's, a successful raffle
and lots of
conversation.
A good number stayed the night at the hotel where we enjoyed beneficial room &
breakfast rates.
Next morning, following breakfast, many of us travelled to Ingoldisthorpe to
join others and
parishioners for our reunion service at St. Michael and All Angels Church.
